TL;DR: You’ll find me direct, affirming, and non-judgmental. I enjoy including creative therapies such as recreation therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and music therapy into my practice. Together, we will create a therapy space that allows you to feel heard, safe, and valued.
Availability: Monday-Tuesday 12-6:30 PM (virtual or in person in Decatur); Wednesday-Friday 10AM-6 PM (virtual only)
Finding a place where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and valued is hard. Have you ever felt like it was almost impossible to navigate spaces because you felt like your emotions were too big, or who you are is not enough or allowed? Maybe you're seeking a safe, understanding place to explore your identity or struggles with someone who "gets it." No matter what brings you here, I'm glad you're here.
As a queer and trans therapist, I know what it's like to be othered, misunderstood, and navigate a world that isn't made for you. Together, we will create a space where your whole, authentic self is welcomed, affirmed, and valued.
My approach is dynamic, and in addition to traditional talk therapy, I'm also passionate about incorporating art therapy, play therapy, and recreational therapy into sessions. Whether you thrive on structured exercises and worksheets or cringe at the thought of therapy feeling like a chore, I'm here to meet you where you are.
I work with individuals ages 6+ and utilize DBT, CBT, attachment theory, and psychodynamic approaches. I've worked with people in various settings, including inpatient, residential, addiction, and outpatient treatment.
I'm passionate about helping people navigate emotional regulation difficulties, religious trauma, dissociation, and anxiety. You won't encounter judgment or someone telling you who you "should" be in this space. Instead, I believe that you are the expert on your own life and that your experiences, relationships, and traumas have profoundly shaped you. Together, we'll collaboratively work towards helping you create a life that makes you excited, hopeful, and fulfilled.
