Clinical Therapist

The Clinical Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients of Grounded Wellbeing. Clinical therapy services include treatment of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. We are currently looking for therapists or counselors who work with queer, trans, and gender-expansive folks, who are anti-racist, social justice minded, and ready to be a part of a dynamic, fun, and collaborative team. This is a full time position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site and telehealth clinical services to clients of Grounded Wellbeing, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.  

  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.

  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Grounded Wellbeing.

  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Grounded Wellbeing website.  Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.  

  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.

  • Timely completion of written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, termination notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Grounded Wellbeing or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion (48 hours).  Keep client files accurate and up to date.

  • Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Grounded Wellbeing.

  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Grounded Wellbeing.

  • Associate licensed clinicians are required to attend twice monthly Supervision group provided by GWB. 

  • Conduct and regulate clinical services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Grounded Wellbeing.  Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.

  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Align with Grounded Wellbeing’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Experience working with QTBIPOC folks is a must. 

  • Must be punctual in reporting to work.

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and

  • Hold an active, unrestricted full license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) or hold an associate license (LMSW, LAMFT or LAPC) in the State of Georgia.  A copy must be provided to Grounded Wellbeing.

  • Available to hold at least 20 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred by Grounded Wellbeing. 

  • Be organized and detail oriented.

  • Be a team player.

  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Afternoon/evening availability and/or weekend availability is required. 

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting highly preferred.

  • Experience and/or interest in working with complex trauma from a relational & attachment perspective required. 

  • Preferred experience and interest in disordered eating, working with children aged 11 years-old and under, providing play therapy as a therapeutic approach, offering family therapy as a service, and parent coaching and/or workshops for parents.

Please note this is a full time W2 position with a competitive split. This team member will have access to an office at our Decatur location.
