Mary Clark, LMSW (she/her)

Clinical Therapist & Marketing Director

TL;DR: You’ll find me to be genuine and direct — using an attachment-based focus, I strive to create a space that feels warm, affirming, and free of judgment. I am passionate about connection and view our time together as a space for authentic exploration.

Availability: Tuesday - Friday from 9AM-6PM (virtual or in-person at our Decatur office)

Do you wonder what it would take to be less critical and more nurturing towards yourself? Or, how your inner self-critic influences your self-esteem and self-worth? Maybe you tend to be perfectionistic, have high levels of anxiety due to a need for order and predictability, set very high standards for yourself (and others), or experience body image issues and distorted self-perceptions.

I believe that everyone is unique and has the ability to reach their full potential. I view therapy as an opportunity for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. Through this exploration, I support clients in navigating emotional turmoil, increasing their levels of awareness and acceptance, and learning tools to manage stress, insecurities, and self-doubt. In the space we create together, my hope is that you feel affirmed and encouraged.

I enjoy working with youth and young adults who are experiencing issues with perfectionism, hypersensitivity, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and/or disordered eating. I’m passionate about working with individuals who are navigating their gender identity and providing supportive and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients.

At the core of my approach is a commitment to the principles of attachment-based and person-centered therapy. Through this methodology, we can facilitate positive growth and personal development, guiding clients on a path toward healing and self-discovery.

If any of this resonates with you, or you’re curious about what our session may look like, then let’s chat! Fill out our new client inquiry form to schedule your free 15-minute consult.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also the Marketing Director here at Grounded Wellbeing, and am passionate about building community and fostering connections both inside and outside of our space.
